A while back, Kaishi and I went to the Soup Restaurant at NEX to celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary. I’ve never been to the Soup Restaurant before, so I decided to do up a slight review of the food there that we tasted (after all, all I knew of was the Soup Soon HAHA).
The exterior of the restaurant looks like any other Chinese restaurant you can find, and so I recall walking past one at Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 but never really took notice of it. Here’re some pictures of the area:
There’s also a poster of the history of Soup Restaurant and their famous ‘Samsui’ women in olden days heritage:
We dined at the larger dining area towards the rear of the restaurant, where we got a comfortable table for 4 persons. As part of their promotion, Soup Restaurant is giving out a set of free appetizer dishes for every dining table there.
And here comes the main courses:
And of course, not to forget the main signature dish at Soup Restaurant:
The ginger chicken is supposed to be eaten with lettuce slices dipped in the garlic/ginger sauce, but I was too lazy to take a photo of the lettuce (after all, they look the same right!). But the chicken is really awesomely tender and soft.
I would rate the food there as a high 9 out of 10, and indeed really worth the money. We spent approximately close to a hundred for a total of 4 pax, and really ate till our hearts’ content.
