It’s the time of the year again for kids to enjoy fireworks and enthusiasts to spot the fighters from the Republic of Singapore Air Force rehearsing for the annual National Day Parade flypast! Yes, it is only June but the planes have already started rehearsing for their big day on 9th August!
For those who are interested to catch a glimpse of the fighter jets in action, you’d be pleased to know that CAAS has released the Air Supplement schedule for airspace closure catering to RSAF-NDP training.
All timings indicate the time that air space is closed in the respective sectors to allow for the RSAF to fly. You have to add 8 hours to all timings to get our GMT +8 time.
Based on past experiences, the best place to catch these jets in action would be around the Marina Bay area, near the Float. You could try the Esplanade Waterfront just next to the Float, or alternatively, up the roof of Esplanade Theatres!
P.S.: Schedule courtesy of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
P.P.S.: With the start of the flypast rehearsals, Combined Rehearsal 1 should have fireworks too (though possibly just 5 or 10% of the actual day amount). Look out for it!
